The Alpha Crew Charity Bike Ride is Back for 2026
At Alpha Crew, our strength has always come from our people. The crew members, the core team, the friendships built on long days and shared experiences - it’s what defines who we are. In September 2021, we lost one of those people. Hassan Elabbady was a valued crew member and a friend to many across the team. His passing left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. In the time that followed, we wanted to find a way to honour Hassan that felt true to the spirit of Alpha Crew. Something that brought people together. Something that reflected the resilience and unity of our crew. So in 2022, we got on our bikes.
Where It Started
Our first charity ride took us from London to Paris. What began as a tribute quickly became something bigger. The support we received - from friends, family, and the wider network around Alpha Crew - was incredible. More than just a challenge, it became a way to channel our energy into something positive. A way to remember Hassan together.
Building a Tradition
Since that first ride, it’s become an annual tradition. Each year, a team made up of crew members, office staff, and close friends takes on a new route across Europe. From Amsterdam to Cologne to Brussels, we’ve pushed ourselves physically and mentally, all while raising money for the British Heart Foundation. It’s not easy - and that’s part of the point. The early starts, the long miles, the moments where you have to dig deep - they’re all shared. And that shared effort is what makes it meaningful.
The 2026 Challenge: London to The Hague
This year, we’re taking on our next challenge: cycling from London to the Hague.
Starting on 8 May 2026, the team will cover over 300 miles across five days:
Day 1: London → Folkestone (85 miles)
Day 2: Calais → Ghent (100 miles)
Day 3: Ghent → Breda (75 miles)
Day 4: Breda → The Hague (60 miles)
Day 5: Home time
It’s a demanding route, but one we’re ready to take on together.
Why We Ride
We’re proud to be raising money for the British Heart Foundation, supporting vital research and life saving work. Every donation, no matter the size, contributes to something bigger - helping to fund research, improve treatments, and support those affected by heart and circulatory diseases. But beyond the fundraising, this ride is about people. It’s about remembering Hassan, coming together as a team, and doing something that reflects the values he was part of.
Be Part of the Journey
We’re incredibly grateful for any support. Whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply following along, it all makes a difference. The encouragement we receive each year genuinely helps carry us through every mile. This ride means a lot to everyone involved - and to Hassan’s family.
